The Conno|sior Exhibit continues to redefine luxury interiors, offering fresh perspectives on how to infuse elegance into modern living. One of the standout installations and the overall exhibit winner, Coastal Retreat is a Hamptons-inspired living room that effortlessly brings the serene beauty of the seaside into your home.

A collaboration project with Mav Furniture, M Décore, and IDr Migs Alcid from SoFA Design Institute, the exhibit showcases how timeless coastal charm can be woven into a contemporary, luxurious living space.

The Essence of Hamptons-inspired Design

Drawing inspiration from the iconic beach houses of the Hamptons, Coastal Retreat combines relaxed elegance with modern sophistication. The Hamptons style is known for its light, airy atmosphere, soft color palette, and a seamless blend of comfort and luxury. This exhibit channels those elements to create a living room that feels both inviting and stylish, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

SoFA Design Institute students, Paige Giron-Paguirigan and Catherine Anne Benitez, have thoughtfully curated a space that evokes the tranquility of coastal living while maintaining a polished, high-end aesthetic. The room is designed to reflect the breeziness of a seaside retreat, with natural textures, light woods, and calming hues that transport you to the shore without ever leaving home.

A Soothing Color Palette

The color scheme of Coastal Retreat is quintessentially Hamptons, featuring soft neutrals, creams, blue gray, and ocean blue that mirror the hues of the ocean and sky. These colors are expertly layered to create a serene environment that feels open and airy, yet warm and welcoming. The stylists have also incorporated accents of sand, beige, and driftwood, mimicking the natural beauty of a coastal landscape.

M Décore’s accessories play a key role in this tactile narrative, offering artisanal décor pieces that bring the outdoors in. From hand-crafted ceramic vases, unique lamps to textured throw pillows, each item is carefully chosen to enhance the coastal theme while maintaining a sense of luxury. The inclusion of a driftwood accent art piece as well as seashell and coral motifs adds subtle nods to the Hamptons without feeling overtly themed.
